a visit to south lancs travel's depot 8/3/12

today i visited south lancs travel's depot today a total of 11 buses was in.

the ones in the SLT livery are...

rail replacment bus serivce 04/03/12

today there was no trains running while work took place on the train line between wigan and liverpool.

today the part of the line being replaced was the part at thatto heath train station

there was 2 buses at st helens central on standby both from ogdens these being S60 JDO and UKZ 6653

i also got photos of 2 other coaches that was in service they being P952 PYC from atlantic travel and MX05 AHL from grand tourer (shearings holidays)

i got a ride on MX05 AHL and it was great the only let down was one of the curtains kept opening and shuting when we went up/down a hill or over a speed bump

bus opinions feb 2012

2709 volvo wright renown on route 352
this bus is baised at arriva st helens, this bus was really slow bus, you had to put your foot to the floor to get it anywhere at a good speed but it had very few rattles and still had its wright sticker .

7632 marshal capital on 715 
this bus is basied at arriva bolton, i have to admit this is the best marshal i had ever been on, with very few rattles and was really fast, this bus had recently been to bootle for p+p but already the back seat had been ripped and replaced by an MTL seat

1053 northern counties paladin on 33
this bus is baised at arriva st helens, this bus was amazing it is one of the fastest buses at arriva st helens and to make it even better it was rattle free

4481 wright gemini 2 on x11
the new smell is still strong and the wi-fi works very well. i also found the seats warm and comfy and the ride quality was amazing, the only bad thing was the front mirror was already very dirty considering its been in service less than a month

bootle paint shop visit 4/1/12

hi and welcome to my first bootle update
first of in the workshop there was MX61 AXF having work done to the front of it

 also parked up was 2 everton buses

there was also an ex arriva london bendie bus still not been repainted and just been left alone for a while now

also as shame, the only remaining peace of N126 DWM is its front bumper seen here

 also i was able get a very nice photo of X14 BLU before it was taken into the paint shop for repaint

S251 URV was in the paint shop

while i was there in the yard some truck turned up branded with merseybus

chillin of in the yard was T301 FGN

also in the yard was R332 WVR having work done on the inside

and i saved the best until last while i was in the yard 2008 ultralow turned up i am happy to confirm someone has bought it (credit to the amazing Trevor)

arriva in merseyside

first of all welcome to my first blog, i hope you enjoy my blogs as there will be more to come.


all of Arriva Runcorns Scanias are now with Arriva St Helens apart from 1044 it is currently undergoing work to fix an oil leak, apparently there is a chance it may never see service again (credit to driver 11/12/11). These buses are always on the 33/33A and the 34/34A but there is normally one making its way onto the 329.

seen here is one of Arriva St Helens pulsar 2's sadly the 4 from Arriva St Helens and Arriva Green Lane will not return from arriva Malta (credit to buses mag.)  

here is a photo of P318 HEM this Ultralow is just one of 15 left in service with Arriva North West it will be a shame to see them go as they are still very good Buses.

Here is a photo of Arriva Green Lanes MAN Eco City on route 18A in Liverpool it is unclear how long it will be here for, some people say 8 weeks while others say 6 months, Time will tell.
